Dr. Jason Shih, PhD, speaker at AE&BE events, joins Alternative Energy & Building Efficiency Conference Advisory Board. Dr. Shih was awarded the first Emogene Pliner Endowed Professorship in the School of Architecture. He is a full professor and serving as Director of Office of Building Research at LSU. He has had numerous technical papers and books published in the fields of energy conscious design and solar energy design and application in buildings, and structural optimization and forms. He was credited as the first to use the application of radiant barriers in buildings. He has received numerous national and statewide awards in recognization of his work in passive solar research and structural design applications in Architecture.
